TEACHER'S DAY WAS CELEBRATED ON 05-09-2018

        Teachers Day 5th September, 2018, is one day in a year dedicated to our teachers.  A special program was held to make our teachers happy and express our love towards them. Dances and skits were performed by the students, to entertain our Lecturers. Few fun games and activities too were conducted. Finally, gifts were presented as a token of love. It was a day filled with excitement, fun joy and happiness.

EXQUIZITS-2017

Science Department conducted an event Exquizits on 10th October 2017. It was hosted and organized by SCI- π Club. The events for this year were divided into two categories Creative Extravaganza and Entertainment Extravaganza. Like every year, we had an overwhelming response from all the colleges. The participants from all the colleges performed admirably in all competitions and reaped the fruits at the prize distribution ceremony held on the same day.

The college hosted fresher’s day on 15th July 2017 to welcome the new batch of first year students 2017-18.

VIGNAN - GEOP CLUB

The club conducted a practical session on Google forms for final year students on 06th December,2016. Quiz competition was also conducted based on the college blog & website. various ppt's were presented related to technology.

STAR COMPETITION

Star competition was conducted for U.G students on 19th November, 2016.

SCIENTIA 2016

The Sci-Pi club celebrated world science day “SCIENTIA” 2016 with a tagline sharing data knowledge and innovation on 10th November 2016. B.Sc students presented PPT on the importance of Statistics, Mathematics, and Electronics etc. Quiz competition was conducted to the U.G students.

The event was successful with the cooperation and support of B.Sc staff and students

Industrial visit

B.COM Students visited Pochampally Handloom Park as a part of industrial visit on 5th November, 2016. The trip was to create awareness regarding each and every step from making the thread, dyeing, designing and weaving on handloom. And then it was followed by a visit to a Sales showroom and later to the Pochampally village to shop various beautiful woven patterns.

GEOP Club - TECHTON Competition

        GEOP club conducted a ppt presentation competition on 31st October,2016 for  U.G.  The objective was to give an opportunity to explore and exhibit their  inner talents in the form of innovative visual presentation skills. Students prepared ppt on "Ethnic Day Celebrations at St.Ann's" in the given time of 1 hour. Students from B.Com and B.Sc formed into 35 teams and took active participation in the competition and shown their skills. The winners are :-
1st Prize -  Farwa and Ameena - B.Com(C) II yr
2nd Prize- J.Pooja and Samarpana - B.Com(c) II yr
3rd Prize - Sulail and Neha - B.Com(c) I yr

COMMERCE CLUB @ TRADERS

1) Commerce Club @ Trades conducted a Cross Word Competition in Statistics. 10 Teams participated very enthusiastically and has shown great interest in solving the puzzle.

2) Commerce Club organised an activity on 27/10/2016 with a theme India and Industry.  B.Com II year students were given a task to present brief presentations on some major industries  of India.  The main objective was to create awareness of different industries, their origin, growth and development.

3) The presentations also focused on the role of these industries in the growth and economic development of India. 9 groups presented their study in the form of PPT.  It was a knowledge sharing meet and was very informative for the commerce student community.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

On 18th October 2016 B.sc final year students visited ICRISAT. Students were accompanied by the faculty - Mrs. Hemalatha & Mrs.Sravanthi. The visit sharpened the knowledge of students on various fields such as; Agriculture, Harvesting, Research and Analysis etc...

“NAIPUNYA” Science Fair

The sci-pi club organized a science fair "NAIPUNYA" on 4th October @ seminar hall. The fair had different models based on mathematics, statistics, computer and electronics .Students exhibited practical models to expose their subject knowledge. Games like test your mind, brain teasers etc... Queuing theory,’ C’ program based on astrology ,counter, suspension bridge , salt water generator ,geometric city were the highlights of the fare.

COLLAGE MAKING COMPETITION - @ TRADES COMMERCE CLUB

The commerce club conducted COLLAGE making competition to all the B.Com students on 17th September,2016. The topic of the competition was " EMERGING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS". The objective was to motivate and to inspire students towards entrepreneurship. 36 teams participated with great enthusiasm.

GEOP - IT CLUB

On 27th August, 2016 Geop hosted half-a-day seminar entitled “Deep Mind”. The aim of the seminar was to share knowledge about Cyber Crimes and a variety of services provided by Google. B.com and B.Sc students presented PPT’s on Google Apps, Cyber Crimes, Google Doodles, Gmail, AdSense and many more Google services. Both B.com and B.Sc students attended the seminar.
Google services PPT by Deepa of B.com – III year and Cyber Crimes PPT by B.sc – III year were the highlights of the seminar.  

Literati Club

To make the 70th Independence day the college literary club - "Literati" conducted  Painting competition for U.G students on 9th August, 2016 based on the theme "FREE INDIA" depicting India's Past, Present, Future". 

GEOP - IT CLUB

On 13th July, 2016 Geop conducted “Video Advertising”   competition. The objective of this competition was to provide good knowledge about Video Advertising. Totally 11 groups from both B.Com and B.Sc. participated in the competition. They exhibited advertisements on Educational Institutions, Herbal Shampoos, Social awareness, etc.

SCI – π Club

                      The SCI – π club organized “Indian Statistical Day” on 29^th June, 2016.  Every year 29^th June is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the great statistician Sir Mahalanobis.

B.sc final year and second year students presented PPTs on the contribution of great statisticians.
